CarPlay common issues

Things to check if you have issues with CarPlay connection.

Vehicle side

  • Make sure your main unit supports CarPlay.
  • CarPlay FEC/SWaP code is installed and valid (enter hidden menu and check FEC list).
  • CarPlay functionality is correctly enabled in 5F adaptations.
  • Car is equipped with proper USB port (video).
  • USB is connected with 4+2 wires.
  • USB port is coded correctly.

iPhone side

  • Make sure your iPhone supports Carplay.
  • Make sure Siri is enabled (video).
  • iOS settings don't restrict CarPlay functionality.
  • iPhone is unlocked while you connect the phone for the first time.
  • iPhone lightning port is clean, not clogged with dirt.
  • USB cable is good for both data transfer and charging (video).
