CarPlay common issues
Things to check if you have issues with CarPlay connection.
Vehicle side
- Make sure your main unit supports CarPlay.
- CarPlay FEC/SWaP code is installed and valid (enter hidden menu and check FEC list).
- CarPlay functionality is correctly enabled in
5Fadaptations. - Car is equipped with proper USB port (video).
- USB is connected with 4+2 wires.
- USB port is coded correctly.
iPhone side
- Make sure your iPhone supports Carplay.
- Make sure Siri is enabled (video).
- iOS settings don't restrict CarPlay functionality.
- iPhone is unlocked while you connect the phone for the first time.
- iPhone lightning port is clean, not clogged with dirt.
- USB cable is good for both data transfer and charging (video).
